About

Experience

Philip StoneI bring over 17 years experience of providing high quality therapy services in hospital psychotherapy clinics, primary care settings and IAPT services. I first began working as a therapist in 1996 for the Royal London Hospital, before gaining advanced skills in psychotherapy, whilst training and seeing patients in the adult department of the Tavistock Clinic.

For seven years, I held psychotherapy positions within the Maudsley Hospital, successfully helping people manage chronic health and neurological problems, and complex psychological and clinical difficulties including transient psychosis and borderline personality difficulties. Whilst based at the Maudsley CASCAID unit, and Maudsley psychotherapy service, I also successfully ran psychotherapy clinics for anxiety and depression.

From 2004 I have also held part-time lecturing positions in adult and university education, teaching psychology and personal development at colleges and universities including Morley College, the University of East London and London University colleges. I have also designed and facilitated personal development and interpersonal skills workshops for a number of blue-chip companies.
